10 Exciting Activities for Kids in Singapore This April

Now that the March holidays are over, the next burst of activities for kids seem to be stocking up in June. But that doesn’t mean the months leading up have to be boring! With Easter coming right up in April, here are some fun activities for kids you can consider checking out this month.

1. Earthly Easter Egg Hunt at Gardens by the Bay

This year, in collaboration with local farm Bollywood Adventures, Gardens by the Bay is organising exciting activities for kids during their weekend Easter egg hunt! This event comes in line with the new launch of the Active Garden, where your little hunter tots will have to go digging for all the hidden eggs. 

Find all these gems and take part in a sure-win lucky dip! Participants will also get to take home a pot-a-sunflower to grow their own plants.

2. City Sprout’s Spring Egg-stravangaza Workshops

Welcoming a new season of spring, join City Sprouts in their Easter egg hunt! Hosted on the grounds of their public community farm area, this exclusive event allows for kids to see farmers in action in the greenhouse. 

While most of the workshop activities for kids are now sold out, there are still a couple which are up for grabs! Sign up for the Easter Miniature Garden workshop ($20), candlemaking ($15) or the egg pouch decorating craft workshop ($25).

3. Songkran Water Fest 2.0 at Wild Wild Wet 

For the entire month of April, celebrate Thailand’s most famous festival at Wild Wild Wet. A celebration of love and thankfulness, there’s no better company than your family for this jolly event! 

With hourly water fights between 1 to 4pm, a Tsunami Pool and cage drunk machines – these are just a peek into the line-up of exciting activities!

4. Gateway Arts Kids Club Storytelling 2022

Gateway Arts Kids Club is a weekly programme with activities for kids to start their Saturday mornings right. Think storytelling, arts and craft, and play activities! 

For the month of April, there are 5 exciting stories lined up for kids aged 3 to 7. Coined “The Greatest Gift is Love”, you can expect each narrative to illustrate the importance of love, kindness, gentleness, and strength. 

Each session lasts for about 30 minutes and it is free!

5. My Little Pony Pop-up Café

Fulfilling the fantasies of every Little Pony fan, this collaboration with Kumoya brings to you My Little Pony’s pop-up Café in Singapore for the first time! 

On the menu, you can expect to find 6 snacks, 5 mains, 3 desserts and 11 drinks – all inspired by the little ponies. Begin your feast with Mozzarella cheese sticks or corn dog as sides, before sinking your teeth into the Dashing Magical Rainbow Dash plant-based burger!

6. Chupa Chups Pop-up

If you’re heading to the airport for a family feast this April, don’t forget to stop by Terminal 3 to check out the Chupa Chups wonderland. 

For kids with an absolute sweet tooth, this might just be their dream come true. Be ready to shoot for many photo ops at the Chupa Chups pastel playground, featuring a carousel and Ferris wheel. These free activities for kids will make them feel just like they are busking in the magic of an amusement park! 

For the hardcore fans, there’s even limited-edition merchandise (and more photo ops!) that you can purchase at Basement 2.

7. Weird but True! Exhibition

Did you know? Penguins swim nearly 5,000km every year! That’s about 14km every day. Those flippers must really be built from muscles. 

At National Geographic’s latest exhibition, you can walk through the Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay and learn these fun facts about plants and animals that you might otherwise have not known. 

Nothing fuels the inquisitiveness of children more than learning fun facts about the world! We’re sure the immersive experience here will leave them wanting to find out more.

8. April Holiday Adventure Camp – Kampung Fun Edition 

If you’ve missed out on the March holiday camps, fret not. There are still many ongoing ones – just like this Kampung Adventure camp

During this 1-day camp, there will be a guided sensory farm tour, farm-to-table pizza making class, workshop experience with a local beekeeper and woodworking workshop! 

Suitable for primary school children, the activities for kids on this adventure camp sounds nothing less than a novel experience for the city dwellers. It is no wonder they sold out twice last month… and now back by popular demand. Fastest fingers first!

10. Superexplore! Camp 

Yet another exclusive holiday camp! Super Day Camp aims to encourage children aged 7 to 12 to stay active physically and mentally, while learning with joy. 

With over 20 activities for kids during the 3-day camp, some exciting ones include building a fort to simulate survival instincts, learning proper climbing techniques, skating and more! 

Here, your kids will get to meet new friends in their groups while being under the safe guidance of camp facilitators.
