Happy November! This is the month where you might be scrambling to plan out some family activities for the kids, given that the end-of-year school holidays are starting soon!
Thankfully, there’s no shortage of fun things to do with your kids in November. If your family’s vaccinated from COVID-19, then it’ll be even easier to plan family outings as from Nov 10 onwards you’ll be able to dine out in groups of 5!
So without further ado, here are some fun school holiday activities to do with your kids in November 2021!
1) Treat Your Kids To An Animal-Themed Craft Session At PIP’s Playbox (Free!)
PIP’s Playbox at Esplanade is holding a self-guided crafting activity called Animal Craft that your kids can join for free. This is more suitable for younger kids and toddlers, as your little ones will be creating their own animals such as cat, dogs and birds using kid-friendly materials such as wooden spoons and coloured paper.
Not only is this a fun hands-on activity to get your kids’ creative juices flowing but it’s educational as well! During the session, your kids will also learn trivia about animals such as the migration patterns of birds.
At the end of the day, your kids will be able to bring back their own crafts for memories.
Animal Craft will be happening until 31 Dec 2021, at 11am, 2pm and 4.30pm.

2) Go On A Bumper Car Ride At Snow City
And this one’s for the older kids! With Christmas just around the corner, why not bring your family out for a fun day at Snow City? There’s a myriad of activities that you and your kids can enjoy there, but one that your kids might find particularly exciting is the bumper car ride, called ‘Drift On Ice’.
This is Singapore’s only sub-zero bumper car experience. And of course, there’s lots of other activities your kids can enjoy in Snow City too such as sliding down the snow slope!
Do take note that this is more suitable for older kids, as the height requirement is 0.9m.

3) Soak In The Sights & Sounds During The Deepavali Festivities At Little India (Free!)
Even though the Deepavali public holiday is over, don’t forget that the Deepavali festivities are still ongoing! Teaching our kids about the importance of one culture’s festivities and celebrations is a great way to raise a more inclusive and mindful generation.
Your kids will love the papercraft activity happening on 14 Nov, at the Little India Heritage Centre. Here, your kids will learn how to make their own beautiful paper diyas (light lamps).
And on 21 Nov, the streets of Little India will be lit up with beautiful decorations to commemorate the festival of lights.

4) Play, Sing & Discover At The Final Season Of Rainforest Lumina At Singapore Zoo
This is the last chance for your family to experience Rainforest Lumina at Singapore Zoo, as this is the third and final season!
At Rainforest Lumina, your kids will be immersed in a multisensory experience as they go through 10 special zones which entertain and educate them about animals and the rainforest.
There will be magical shows along with dance and song routines that every kid is sure to love!
The entire experience is approximately 45 minutes, and is a perfect activity for a family night out.

5) Bounce Around In 15 Giant Bouncy Castles At Jumptopia: Holiday Village!
Kids love nothing more than bouncing around in bouncy castles, right? What about 15 giant bouncy castles… all in one location? Jumptopia: Holiday village is sure to be an unforgettable experience for any kid.
Other than the bouncy castles which are already worth a visit on their own, your kids will also enjoy kids’ mazes, music studios, craft stations and more!

6) Let Your Kids Plant Their Own Seedlings & Even Harvest Fresh Produce At This Guided Farm Tour
Suitable for kids aged 3 and above, this is guided farm tour organized by City Sprouts is an educational and interactive way to get closer to nature.
During this tour, your kids will learn about the benefits of sustainable farming, grow their own seedlings – and even take home fresh produce!
In the vicinity, your kids will also see over 36 greenhouses – and there’s also a spacious canteen for your lunch and dinner.

7) Visit Bukit Gombak Park, The Newest Park In The West With A Butterfly Garden & Dog Run (Free!)
Getting in some exercise, while taking the kids out for a fun day of activities doesn’t have to be expensive! Bukit Gombak Park is the newest park in the west of Singapore, and comes with some unique facilities that your kids will love.
Bukit Gombak Park has a butterfly garden, where species of flowers that are attractive to butterflies have been carefully selected and planted. Bring your kid here for a fun and educational experience!
The park also has a dog run, where dogs are allowed to run free in an enclosed space. If you have a dog, then all the more you should visit this park!
