What this result assumes
Planning estimates in today’s dollars from the Kids’ education cost projector, compiled in July 2026, not quotes; edit any of them. Each child counts from next year to the end of a degree at 22, the same years as that tool. Preschool about S$450 a month after typical subsidies for the 4 years before Primary 1. Local school costs about S$500 a year for 12 years, plus your enrichment. JC or polytechnic is about S$5,000, spread over the last 2 school years. University about S$70,000 local or S$250,000 overseas, spread over 4 years. International school about S$32,000 a year. Care before age 3 is added only if you enter your own monthly figure, for the 2 years before preschool. No inflation, scholarships, bursaries, siblings’ discounts or NS timing. Overlap years are years when 2 or more children have costs.
Step 3 What next
Will our CDA, PSEA and savings cover university?Common questions
What is an overlap year?
A year when 2 or more of your children have costs at once, for example one in preschool and one at university. Those years need the most cash.
Why does the count start next year?
This year is mostly paid already. Like the education cost projector, we count from next January to the end of each degree.
Are subsidies included?
Preschool is an estimate after typical subsidies. Grants such as the CDA or Child Credits are not taken off: see what they add up to in Our family’s year.
