Subsidised wards are for Singapore Citizens and PRs.

Listed A to Z. MOH shows a hospital only where it had at least 10 such births; the others are greyed out.

      What this estimate assumes

Bills are MOH's latest published total hospital bills: Singapore Citizens discharged in 2023, in the bill sizes file MOH last revised on 15 April 2025 (no newer year has been published). They include GST, come before MediSave, MediShield Life and insurance, and leave out antenatal packages. MediSave Maternity Package limits are CPF's and are the same at public and private hospitals: the actual split of your bill between the delivery and ward charges can make MediSave cover less. Permanent residents and foreigners pay different rates. Hospitals are listed A to Z or by the column you choose, never ranked. Ask your hospital for its own estimate. Common questions

How much does it cost to give birth in Singapore?

MOH's latest published median bills are for Singapore Citizens discharged in 2023, before MediSave and insurance. They were about S$1,350 for a vaginal delivery in a subsidised Ward B2, S$6,024 in an unsubsidised Ward A and S$10,815 across private hospitals. Pick your hospital and ward to see its own figure.

How much MediSave can we use for the delivery?

Under CPF's MediSave Maternity Package, from S$1,120 to S$2,770 for the delivery depending on the procedure. Plus up to S$1,130 a day for the first two days in hospital and S$400 a day after that, and up to S$900 for pre-delivery check-ups and scans. The money can come from the mother's or her spouse's MediSave Account.

Does the S$5,000 MediSave Grant for Newborns pay the delivery bill?

No. It goes into the baby's own MediSave Account, for the baby's healthcare and MediShield Life premiums, so this estimate does not count it.

Why are the hospitals listed in this order?

Alphabetically, unless you choose to sort by a column. We never rank hospitals. The figures are MOH's published bill sizes, not a judgement of care.
