Step 1 Your numbers

Your due date and baby

We show an example date 20 weeks away until you change it.

The CDA grant and matching cap depend on birth order for babies born before 1 April 2027. The cash is S$10,000 for every child.

Baby Bonus cash, the CDA and the MediSave Grant for Newborns are for Singapore Citizen children.

CPF's MediSave Maternity Package is for Singapore Citizens and PRs, using their own or a spouse's MediSave.

Public hospital subsidies in Wards B2 and C depend on the patient: citizens get the most, PRs less (MOH).

Your delivery

Assisted or complicated covers forceps, vacuum, twins and breech births.

Listed A to Z. MOH shows a hospital only where it had at least 10 such births; the others are greyed out.

Your own figures

Your clinic's package or quote. MOH publishes no antenatal bill sizes.

For example, nursery charges or jaundice treatment. Ask the hospital; MOH publishes no figure.

Leave blank to use the estimate above.

Only if your plan covers delivery. Ask your insurer.

Yours and your spouse's. Leave blank if you have enough.

    What this plan assumes

The delivery bill is MOH's latest published bill for Singapore Citizens discharged in 2023, as in the delivery bill estimator. PR and foreign patients pay different rates. Check-ups, scans, the baby's bill and confinement are your own figures or labelled estimates. Months assume your baby arrives on the due date, and payment months are approximate. Common questions

Can the CDA or MediSave pay for confinement or baby things?

No. CDA money pays only approved bills, such as childcare, preschool and medical bills at approved places. MediSave pays approved medical bills and premiums. Confinement, gear and everyday costs are paid in cash.

When can we claim the check-up bills from MediSave?

After the birth. CPF says to give your pre-delivery bills to the delivering hospital, which claims them with the delivery bill, up to S$900 in total.

Who pays the baby's own hospital bill?

For a Singapore Citizen baby, the S$5,000 MediSave Grant for Newborns goes into the baby's MediSave when the birth is registered. It can pay hospital stays and the baby's MediShield Life premiums. MediShield Life covers citizen babies from birth.

Why is the Baby Gift not in a month?

For babies born from 1 April 2027, LifeSG says the S$10,000 Baby Gift is paid in 2 parts within 12 months of the birth. It has not published the dates, so we show it at the end of the plan.
